What is it to be a woman in the digital age? | Tech Breakdown Episode 8
Our journalist Manasa Narayanan in conversation with Dr. Kerry McInerney and Dr. Eleanor Drage on what it means to be a woman in the digital age. They discuss how to use the lens of feminism to think about technology, and look at the ways in which misogyny and racism come to be a feature not just of platform experiences, but also how these are built into these platforms at a structural level, along with the misogyny that technologies then come to further reinforce at a societal level.
Dr. Kerry McInerney is a Research Associate and Dr. Eleanor Drage is a Senior Research Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge. Both of them are also co-hosts of the Good Robot Podcast.
