Roger McNamee is a founding partner of the venture capital firm Elevation Partners. A former mentor to Mark Zuckerberg, he was an early investor in Facebook. But as he saw the growth and transformation of Facebook and the rise of other Big Tech companies, he started coming to terms with the damage it was doing to societies. He wrote a book called ‘Zucked: Waking Up to the Facebook Catastrophe’ and now speaks passionately about why and how tech companies should and can do better.
